Building a brand, not filling a webshop
It could have been quicker. But then it would have been someone else's product with our logo on it, and that is not why we started.
I could not find what I was looking for
My name is Melvin and I am the founder of Timber Delights. A comfortable home matters to me, and that is what gave me the idea to start this. It began when I bought products for my home that did not work the way I had in mind. To my surprise, I could not find exactly what I was looking for anywhere online.
So I thought: why not just make it myself? Soon after came the idea to work with wood, simply because it is so versatile and durable. That is how Timber Delights was born, the brand for original wooden home accessories with character.
Then the real work began: designing products, approaching suppliers and finding a warehouse. I wanted to create a real brand, not a simple dropshipping business. Because everything had to be right, it took almost a year before the first products arrived.
How we make our products

Sustainability is not an afterthought here
- FLEGT standards. We follow them to safeguard where the wood comes from.
- Always hardwood. A longer life means less replacing and less waste.
- Eco-friendly finish. Beeswax on everything that comes into contact with food.
- As invisible as possible. We want to see the wood, not the layer on top of it.
